The goal of this 40-hour training is to provide participants with the basics of Information Technology networking. The following concepts are examples of what will be covered: Networking Models, Switching, Routing, Wireless, Security, Network Monitoring and much more.
Schedule: Saturdays, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm (Aug 18, Aug 25, Sept 15, Sept 22, Sept 29) Saturday, 8:30 am - 11:30 am ( Sept 8) Wednesday, 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm (Sept 19)

This course is subsidized by Emploi-Quebec Montérégie. Candidates who wish to pay the subsidized fee must meet the criteria listed in the “Further details” section below. If deemed ineligible for the subsidized fee, candidates may still register at a self-financed rate, if space permits.

You are eligible to take these courses if you live or work in the Montérégie territory, and you are:
- Currently working in the private sector;
- a seasonal worker on a temporary layoff;
- looking to upgrade your skills to maintain your job.
You are not eligible to take these courses if you are:
- employed in the public or para-public sector;
- a student;
- unemployed and/or receiving unemployment insurance or welfare;
- receiving CSST (worker’s compensation) or from the SAAQ.
- reorienting your career or are interested in taking a personal interest course.
Maximum of two (2) simultaneous courses per person.
Maximum of three (3) employees per place of employment.
There are no specific requirements to pursue this training, but a background in IT would be recommended.

Additionally, by providing participants with the appropriate training, the course helps prepare them for IT programs such as IT Network Management and Cisco CCNA, among others.
After completing this course, you will be able to choose which path you would like to follow in the networking world. Potential paths include, but not limited to:
- Network Administrator
- Network Technician
- IT Support
- IT Manager
After this training, you will be in a better position to work towards any of the following certifications:
